Memories of Lincoln Elementary
"In July 1985 work had begun on a new addition to the north side of Lincoln School. The addition included five classrooms, an office area and a new boiler for the entire building. Tank Bros. Masonry, of New Hampton, was contracted for the project at a cost of $388,923."
Lincoln School was built in 1926 to divide the grade school children from their older counterparts. The Central School building had become too overcrowded to accommodate them all. In 1951 and two more times in the late 1980s, Lincoln School was enlarged.
