It says 'Fourth of July 1957
Crowds at Clear Lake's Fourth of July carnival and celebration were the largest in Clear Lake's history in 1957. The photo above shows part of the crowd at City Park near some of the carnival rides. Estimates for the three day period range anywhere from 40,000 to 60,000 people."
You can see the Park Hotel in the background, also the old Corner Drug.
If you have any memories of past 4th of July's,
Please send them in to be posted immediately.
Taken from the water tower back in 2004 on July 4. Thought you all might enjoy seeing it. It brings back so many memories.
