Clear Lake- Anthony 'Tony' Jenkins, 40, of 414 S. Shore Drive, Clear Lake, died Wednesday (Jan 27, 1988) at his parents' home at 1008 Second Ave S. Clear Lake, after a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. Fourth St. Clear Lake, with the Rev. Robert Tod officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Anita, with military rites conducted by the Clear Lake VFW.
Visitation is after 4 pm today at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St, Clear Lake.
The family requests memorials be made to the Anthony "Tony" Jenkins Memorial Fund.

He was born Dec. 21, 1947 in Forest City, the son of Norman and Lu Ella (Moore) Jenkins.

He received his education in the Fertile and Forest City schools.  He graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1967.

Following graduation, Mr. Jenkins was employed at Zilder Concrete in Clear Lake.

He entered the U.S. Army in 1970 and served in the Vietnam War.  He was discharged in 1971.

Mr. Jenkins returned to Clear Lake and again worked for Zilder's Concrete.  He was later employed at Unisys Corporation.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake.

Survivors include his parents, Norman and Lu Ella Jenkins, Clear Lake and one brother, Timothy, Des Moines.
