Marital Status / Partner's Name / Children: I married Robert Petersen in 1986. Seeing we were both pushing 40 at the time we decided not to have children. Didn't want to be paying for a college education when we should be retiring!

Working / Retired? Activities you enjoy: I have been retired since 2003. I taught 5th and 6th graders most of the years, but did also teach 7th & 8th grade math a few years. I am truly enjoying retirement even though my husband feels I have too many "part-time" jobs. I just remind him that what I earn working at the library, as church secretary, and mowing for the city helps to keep the refrigerator full of beer and then he doesn't complain as much! We both enjoy working outside in our gardens and keeping the city park looking nice. We are both park commissioners and take pride in the flowerbeds and overall appearance of the area. I spend about 8 hours a week on a mower keeping several areas around town mowed as well as our own properties. Robert and I both golf and we enjoy bird watching. With retirement we are trying to do some traveling and take advantage of our timeshare we own. I also keep busy with crafts.
