Married Jim Eden July 2, 1983. Jim had four sons when we married. We now have three daughters-in-law and 10 grandchildren ~ six boys and four girls ages 4 - 20.

We moved to Colorado in March 2005 to manage senior housing for Holiday Retirement. We moved four times in the first year and a half with the same company. We lived in Longmont, Colorado Springs, Lakewood (a suburb of Denver), and Fort Collins. Those buildings had a central kitchen and dining room and housekeeping and maintenance staff. We had another couple as co-managers and had a staff of 25. We decided it was time to quit moving and eliminate the staff problems. We changed companies and moved to Golden (another suburb of Denver) and manage a senior housing apartment building. No central kitchen or staff. Jim and I clean apartments and common areas in addition to renting the apartments and doing maintenance and yardwork. We thoroughly enjoy this. We worked in Albert Lea and Mason City for a company out of Des Moines renting apartments and townhouses for low-income families. Our current job is very similar but renting to seniors is much more enjoyable.

Our greatest "activity" is driving in the mountains ~ the views are spectacular. And, we're just a few minutes from them! We also enjoy driving to Blackhawk ~ 35 minutes from us in the mountains. The mining communities of Blackhawk and Central City now are mostly gaming Casinos ~ which we also enjoy! This summer we plan to discover more of Colorado.

I don't remember the name (one of those senior moments), but it was sung on Saturday Night Live by Ron Nixon ~ something about Rock 'n Roll. Or, Hello Mary Lou, by Ricky Nelson. Or anything by the Everly Brothers or Righteous Brothers. Or Crazy by Connie Frances. Lets face it ~ the 60's music is the best!
