Sandra K. Bateman
Sandra K. Bateman, 52, of Clear Lake, Iowa, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998 at her home in Clear Lake, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was cremated.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Longmont, Colo. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of services.
Sandra was born Feb. 5, 1946 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of James R. and Marvyl G. (Stevens) Gilruth. She graduated from Clear Lake High School. She moved to Denver, Colo., where she obtained her degree from the College of Cosmetology. She lived in Longmont until moving to Clear Lake to help take care of her mother.
She loved her pets and raising flowers.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Alan Bateman and his wife, Theresa Martin, Erie, Colo., and Daniel Bateman, Clear Lake; one grandson, Jeremiah Bateman. She was preceded in death by her parents.
