Your life since 1964: MCJC one year, then Iowa State, drafted immediately after graduation. One year at Fort Polk, one year in the infantry in Viet Nam. Worked for Hy-Line Poultry in Des Moines as a serviceman from 1970-1978, got out of that business and started selling material handling equipment in central Iowa. Got married in 1972 and divorced, moved to Minneapolis and changed jobs in 1985. Been selling electric powered, narrow-aisle forklifts and all related equipment in Minnesota ever since. Remarried in 2000 to a wonderful woman and love the Twin Cities. I sing in my church choir, am a cantor at Mass and sing in the Archdiocesan choir of Minneapolis/St.Paul. Do occasional weddings and funerals. Mary Jo is a registrar for an ESL program in Roseville, MN. Son, Chad, lives in Des Moines with wife Kelly and daughter Caitlyn- 18 months. Chad is a high school vocal music instructor and loves to write music. Son, Matt, lives in Denver, CO with girl friend Cari, and I hope will be married next year. Matt is an architect and they both love to snow ski. Mary Jo has a son, Mark, a professor at UMD, living in Duluth, MN with wife Carin and a set of twins, Mason and Madison-7 years. Her son, Kevin, lives in Minneapolis and is an IT specialist for a chain of hair salons.
Your life now: Still working for a few more years, my company was recently sold to a large corporation and I hope to hang in there until I retire. Music is still a big part of my life and the grandchildren are fantastic. We don't get to see them as often as we would like so we take what we can get. Mexico has become a favorite spot every winter break.
