Your life since 1964: '64-'66 at MCJC. Married Linda, June 1967. Graduated from U of Iowa 1968 w/Bachelors in Chemistry. Air Force 1968 - 1972. Viet Nam 70-71. First daughter Kristina was born Dec 70 while I was in Nam. Sales representative for pharmaceutical company from 1973 - 1983. 2nd daughter, Summer, was born in 1976. Screwed up and tried selling specialized advertising; just about lost everything, including a brand new house I built myself !!! We moved to the Albuquerque NM area in 1984. I worked as a chemist for the city of ABQ until retirement in Dec 2006. While with the city, I was asked to set up a BioTox lab - took 4 years to get it EPA approved. For the next 8 years we submitted data to EPA and USGS on the toxic effects of the Rio Grande on the Silvery Minnow - an endangered species. Very interesting work.
Closed out my career with the city as Chief Microbiologist. I got tired of the politics, so retired early.
Your life now: Retired --- for 24 days!!! Went back to work, this time restoring damaged homes -something I have always enjoyed doing. Worked Jan 2007 - Jul 2008. Retired again - this time for 35 days!!! Am now a bank courier - seems I can't sit still. I'll do this 'til a golf course job opens up!!! We have 8 grandchildren that keep us running. Our oldest has Muscular Dystrophy, and his new power wheelchair can outrun any of the other kids!!! I coach Little League Baseball, and Boys and Girls Club basketball. I am a "sideline" football coach. Irritates the real coaches!!
