Your life since
1964: I attended Mason City
Junior College, then worked in fashion merchandising in Mason City. I married
Lance in 1974, and our son Lance II was born in 1976. We moved to New Jersey for
one year, then to Kansas City in 1977, and started our own business in 1979. I
was a somewhat stay at home Mom running the office out of our home until our son
started school. I then started working at the corporate offices during school
hours. The best of both worlds.
Your life
now: Last fall a
national company bought our business, so I have spent the months since doing
final legal paperwork, moving boxes, and adjusting to retirement! So far
so good -- I am loving it! Lance had retired several years prior and our
son and I were running the business. Lance II is presently working for the new
company and loving it. I never thought I would like not working, but I am really
enjoying it.
We also have a condo in
Florida and have spent the last ten winters there, coming back to KC a week a
month to be with our three grandchildren, Isabel 6, Luke 3, and Lauren 2, as
well as our son and his wife.
What classmates have
you kept in contact with?: No one - I was working too much!! Hopefully
this will change.

Memories of Clear
Lake: I love Clear
Lake! I brag about my hometown, "the Iowa Resort", all the
time! Slumber parties, picnics, school activities, the Surf and teen
dances, the lake, the beach, 4th of July, Christmas, friends, relatives…..
Clear Lake was a lot of fun and a very great place to grow up. I will
never forget those wonderful memories.
