Your life since 1964: I attended Mason City Jr. College and then Luther College.  I moved to the Chicago area and settled in the NW suburbs.  I taught French in elementary school for three years and then 3rd grade for 8 years.  In 1980 I left teaching and worked at the Palatine Public Library and then moved to the Arlington Heights Memorial Library in 1985 and have been there ever since.

Your life now: I am the Elementary and Middle School Liaison at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library.  I work with 18 elementary and middle schools located in AH.  I love living so close to Chicago and I go into the city whenever there is something special happening.

What classmates have you kept in contact with?: Bonnie and Bob Hewitt, Carol Ray Nordli, and others once in a while.

Which classmates would you like to hear from?

Hobbies?: I make jewelry using crystals and beads, I love to read and just be with my friends.

Favorite song of 1964 or earlier: Percy Faith's A Summer Place

Memories of Clear Lake: Growing up in Clear Lake was wonderful.  We lived right on the lake (we still have the house) and I spent a great deal of time swimming and boating in the summer and ice-boating and skating in the winter.  I have a very close family and we gather at the lake whenever we can.  My mom is 95 and lives in Assisted Living in Mason City.  She is still an avid reader and plans to vote for Barack Obama in November.  I have wonderful memories of my schooling and friends in Clear Lake and it will always be home to me.
