Life since 1964: Joined Navy and traveled ½ the world. Got out in 1967.

Went to Wyoming and worked on a cattle ranch in the mountains, left and came back to Clear Lake.

Met my wife and married in Nov 1967.
Had two children, Bonita and Brian. Have four grandchildren.

In 1968 I started in Auto Parts, Sieg Co and moved to Charles City in 1973 to take over, and manage, their Auto Parts store.

Spent 5 years with the Army National Guard, 133rd Support Co.

While managing the store, went to NIACC to become and EMT - ERT - EMI- EMT-I - Paramedic. I was in the Iowa pilot study on manual defibrillation for EMT's.  Nadine and I took the ambulance service, in CC, from EMT to Paramedic level.

In 1980 I began teaching part time for NIACC and training Emergency medical personnel. I still do some classes for NIACC yet. I can't completely retire from teaching.

I was a faculty member of the American Heart Assoc. for Iowa for 20 years before stepping down. I've been a Training center Faculty and will be letting that go in 2009.

I was in REACH, Critical Stress Debriefing team, for 10 years. I was one of the plank members trained to go out and debrief EMS, Fire and Law personnel who had been involved in a traumatic situation.

In 1994 I retired for Sieg Co. (26 years) and started a new career as director of the ambulance service in Charles City, and In 1997 I took over the Iowa Falls ambulance service too, as Iowa Operations Manager for American Medial Response Co. AMR is the largest private ambulance service in the US. - operating in 40 states.

I worked as a reserve Police Officer for 25 years and retired in 2001.

My Life Now: I'm getting ready to retire from AMR as Iowa Ops manager in 2011. I'm training to be a lay pastor and I'm Head Elder in my Church. I have traveled to preached in churches in Mason City, Hampton, Waterloo along with the monthly preaching at my church in Charles City.
I've started two weekly Bible studies.
After retirement from AMR, I have no idea where God is going to send me. I'm looking forward to a third career, and life, until I really get old!

What classmates have you kept in contact with? Just my brother Lee!

Which classmates would you like to hear from? Any that would want to contact me.

Hobbies: Riding my Harley Davidson with my wife. My grandchildren and families.

Favorite song of 1964: Paul and Paula, "I want to marry you" I don't know it that is the name for sure.

Memories of Clear Lake: Just being a teenager. Family was poor and had to work after school most of the time. Never fit in to the class much.
