Your life since 1964:  I went to Luther College in Decorah, where I roomed with Mary Ellingson the first year. I majored in vocal music. After  3 1/2 years at Luther I married David, whom I met in choir at Luther, I returned to Luther for one more month, went on choir tour, he picked me up, we drove up to Mpls.(where he had been teaching elem. band) and I started teaching elem. music (the next morning -phew) which I did on and off for 40 years.
My world has revolved around music -singing in groups, teaching  piano lesson for 35 years, leading children's choirs. David taught band for 7 years and then choir at Hopkins High School for 27 years and now our daughter Kari, 31, who went to Luther is married to Greg (whom she met at Luther) and she and Greg both teach H.S. choir in Apple Valley. What do they say about the apple not falling far from the tree?
We have 2 other kids -Erik(34) was born with Rubinstein -Taybi Syndrome(meaning he is developmentally delayed). He has lived in a group home near us(which we helped start) since he was 21. Anyone reading this know of anyone else with the syndrome?  I'm asking because I heard from someone in C.L. that there were an unusual amount of people born with handicaps in Clear Lake.  Makes you wonder.
And our other son, Kyle is 28, living in Los Angeles, trying to make it in a band (waits and bar tends at a high end restaurant in Pasadena for a living).
Sorry to write so much but I thought it was a chance to ask about handicaps.

Your life now: Just retired, will continue with  piano lesson, love to travel and camp and read.
