Your life since 1963: After spending 2 years at Cornell College, I transferred to the University of Iowa and graduated with a Master's Degree in Communication Studies in 1970. To my father's great delight, I then got a job! In August 1970, I moved to California and my new job teaching film and television production and film and broadcasting history at California State University, Fullerton. I did that for 5 years, then decided to move on although I wasn't quite sure what I'd be moving on to. Fortunately, I'd made some contacts in the film business, so I first started working as a film editor, then soon made the transition to writer - and have been writing ever since. I work primarily for corporate clients, writing videos/DVDs/speeches, or anything they're willing to pay me for. Most of my clients are in the medical and aerospace fields, both of which I enjoy greatly.

Your life now: I continue to work as a free-lance writer and have no plans to retire, but ask me again in a couple years. I thoroughly enjoy my home (in the foothills just north of downtown LA), friends, family and 6 cats. Sadly, my mom and dad are both gone and I miss them terribly. Dad died in July 1978, mom in November 2005. We sold the Hilltop Motel in December 2006. So there have been many changes in my family, as I know there have been in your families as well. My brother Jay and I are headed to Italy with a herd of family and friends, so I'll miss the reunion and will especially miss catching up with everyone in person.

What classmates have you kept in contact with? Mostly Jule McCullough, but have also had some very welcome recent contact with Bonnie, Paula and Elaine.

Any hobbies? : I have a passion for gardening and spend every spare minute trying to outwit the deer who seem to regard my yard as the local salad bar.
