Your life since 1963:

I went to Mason City School of Cosmetology in Mason City after graduation. Bob & I married in January 1965 and moved to Iowa Falls, Ia. From there we moved to Urbandale, Iowa when Bob was hired by Iowa Power, we were then transferred to Adel in 1972 and have been here ever since. I have kind of been involved with a lot of different jobs besides mother to two boys. Beautician, Preschool teacher, EMT, and worked full time as a Paramedic for Dallas County Ambulance for 8 years. I then worked as a medical assistant at a local Drs. office, and now work as a receptionist/bookkeeper for a local optometrist. WHEW! Our son Dave was born in October 1966,graduated from Wartburg College at Waverly, Iowa and then moved to Boise , Idaho after college and was a Paramedic Firefighter. He got Leukemia in March of 2003 and after a long battle, died in October 2004. He had 3 children all at home so has been a struggle for all of us. Our son Jeff was born in Sept. 1970 and works here in Adel for Dallas County. Then in July 2005 my parents who had moved to near Fort Dodge, Ia. were tragically killed when their car was hit by a train. So the last couple of years;have been very trying, but we are doing O.K.now.

Your life now:

Bob and I are very fortunate to have one son who lives here in Adel. We have 3 grandchildren in Idaho, and 3 here in Adel. 3 girls and 3 boys,our oldest grandson graduates from high school this year and the youngest is in 4th grade. I work at an optometrist office here in Adel as the receptionist/bookkeeper.( I always think that if Miss Goldberg knew I was doing that she would probably shudder . Ha!) I keep busy with a lot of different activities. I am an elder in our church. I have been involved in fund raising with the American Cancer Society the last couple of years. I also keep busy going to grandkids activities.
