Your life since 1963: Graduated from Hamilton Business College 1964.
Worked at Wilson Meat Packing Plant, Albert Lea, MN from May 1964
to July 1965. Married Lyle Steuer in July 1965 and moved to Waterloo, IA.
Worked for Paramount Distributing until mid-68 when we moved to Fairmont, MN and operated Paramount Ceramics until May 1970. We moved back to Mason City IA, where we owned and operated Lyle's Ceramic Center until March 1980. At this time we were living on a 40 acre piece of land east of Northwood. I worked for the Hayward Co-op Elevator,Hayward, MN and the Standard Truck Stop in Albert Lea MN until we purchased a restaurant in Northwood March 1982. We operated the Golden Nugget Cafe until July 1984 when we sold it and moved to Colorado Springs, CO.. At this time I worked for C & S Sanitation based at the Air Force Academy. The following August 1985 we started to manage The Springs Mobile Home Park.
It was August 1986 I managed a mobile home park in Pueblo for six months along with The Springs Park.
In the fall of 1987 I went to work for Channel One and BRN (Business Radio Network). April 1989 found me working in Limon, CO for Mountain View Electric and living in Calhan, CO. November 1, 1997, I married Earl Manyik from La Junta, CO.
Your life now: I have a wonderful husband, six living step-children, one deceased, one deceased daughter-in-law and 14 step-grandchildren. We have rental property and do a lot of remodeling. I do most of it until there is something too large for me to do by myself then Earl and I do it together. I am Chair of After Five (Christian Women's Club) and Prayer Coordinator. I lead a Bible study class every Wednesday morning for Joy of Living. Very happy that I do not have to go to work every day.
