Your life since 1963: Attended Mason City Junior College and worked at Casey Drug in Clear Lake. In 1966 was hired at IBM in Rochester, MN in the Personnel Department as a Transfer Coordinator. After three years I transferred to IBM Boca Raton, Florida, and three months later married another Rochester IBMer. In 1972 we tranferred back to Rochester and had two daughters, Heather in 1974, and Heidi in 1978. After our daughters were born I worked off and on at IBM, our church in Pine Island, and a local insurance company. Spent many years volunteering at the church and school and playing in a bell choir, playing piano, wood carving, reading, basket weaving and as a Stephen Leader and minister. In the year 2000 I contracted Guillian Barre Syndrome (sometimes referred to as French Polio) and spent 5 months in the hospital completely paralyzed and on a ventilator.
Your life now: Our daughters both married and last year each blessed us with a grandchild. They live close by so we enjoy 2 toddlers; a boy and a girl. My husband retired from IBM. I am disabled, usually in a motorized wheelchair, but do walk some with a walker. Life has changed considerably and slowed down, but I continue to exercise, enjoy family and friends, read voraciously, attend a weekly Bible Study and am extremely glad I was able to see those little grandkids! What fun!!
