Your life since 1963..
I attended St. Joseph Mercy School of Radiologic Technology in Mason City July 1, 1963, graduating June 1965.
I worked for a year as a Radiologic technologist in Albert Lea, MN for a year.
November 6,1965 I married Tennis (Tenny) Gordon. Tenny worked for the Rock Island Railroad as a conductor..
The summer of 1966 we found a home and moved to Rock Falls. We still enjoy our home in Rook Falls along the Shellrock River.
I worked at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (now it is Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa) in Mason City as a Radiologic Technologist. I continued my studies and registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Ultradsound Technologist. I enjoyed my work, as it was a school working with students always kept you current with new advances.
On a foggy October morning on my way to work, I was injured in a car accident. Tenny was my partner through my recovery. The injury to my eyes has been the greatest challenge.
I pursued an interest in weaving. Taking a few classes, joining a local guild and spending many hours at the loom learning.
We enjoyed spending time being involved in our church, Habitat for Humanity, The Rock Falls Area Betterment, and the Community Kitchen.
Your life now: We are both retired. I enjoy my weaving projects. Tenny enjoys designing and building furniture. We are working on landscaping our yard. I enjoy perennial flower gardening.
Our goal is to enjoy each day.
I have not stayed in touch with classmates, but have enjoyed getting together with a few the last few years for lunch or coffee.
I am looking forward to our upcoming reunion
