Your life since you left Clear Lake:  Moved to my mother's home town in 1962, met and married my husband and had 4 children and now have 6 grandchidren, the last one just arrived from Bogota, Colombia 2 wks. ago and he is wonderful just like the rest. I worked as an Activity Director for the Good Samaritain Society for 10 yrs after the kids were all in school and now for Divine House which is a group home. Enjoy traveling when I can, especially to Hawaii but anywhere that I can find some sun and sand. I have my sister and brother still in Iowa but I rarely have been back since I have left, although I always say that is where I "grew up", maybe that is questionable, since I still do not know what I want to be when I grow up. Think I need to figure that out soon!

Your memories of Clear Lake: Working at the Lighthouse Drive Inn, Surf Ballroom, of course, roller skating ,city beach, and all the great music from the 50s and 60s. Been nothing like since!


Favorite song of 1963: Anything by Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly [was at the Surf for the last performance] or Elvis and On The Wings Of A Dove, although I do not know who sang it .
