Your life since 1963: I graduated from Newman H.S. and married Henry Battleson from Mason City. We had 3 sons, Douglas, Dean and Steven. Douglas is now with SAP in Atlanta, Ga. and served as a captain in the Gulf war. Dean served in the Air Force in Germany and is now a pilot( Captain Status) and works for Cessena in North Carolina. Steven received his West Point Military Ac.. nomination from then Gov. Thomas Ridge and graduated from West Point and after leaving the armed services has been with NCR and lives in Phoenix, Az. Dean and Steven are both married and I have 6 beautiful, the loves of my life, grandchildren. Melanie, Diana, Seth, Sundae Rose, Taylor and Zachary Reece. They are from 12 to 15 months. Cherie and Heather are the best Daughter-in-laws ever and I have truly been "Blessed" with my family. I was remarried to Jerry Raible from Fort Madison, Ia and for 15 yrs, Jerry designed and built golf courses from Webster City,Ia, 2nd 9 holes for Hamilton County to a beautiful golf course in Tulsa, Ok. Jerry passed away several yrs. ago due to cancer. I spent several years. at Mercy Hospital, ER. and went on later to Business school and had my Ia. and Illinos Ins. license and was with American Republic Ins.
Your life now: I moved back to Mason City several yrs. ago and my mother- June Collins- 91 yrs. old is still living in her home. I am working part-time at the mall, enjoy being out and seeing Glynnis Merwin who has been the M.C. mall manager for many yrs. I still enjoy the lake, city beach, McIntosh Woods and standing on the footbridge and thinking of the days gone by. I have many pictures of my family standing on the bridge.
