Your life since 1963: Married Kathy in 1966; started farming on my own in 1968 on the farm where we live now. I raised livestock for 30 years. Now just raise corn and soybeans and hay for Kathy's horses. We have two children, a son, Scott and a daughter, Sarah. Both Scott and Sarah live within 7 miles of us, so we do get to spend time with them.
Sounds like most of the class has, or is retired, but I have not done so yet. Guess I must have bought far too much John Deer equipment from Kenny Brakke ! !
I am still farming on a smaller scale according to today's standards. (As Kathy says: "You are a hobby farmer")
Besides farming I do a little carpenter work on the side. I enjoy this as a hobby. As Charlie says" "It keeps the beer account flush! "
Did do some fishing in Canada each summer for about 20 years. Also, played some golf now and then. I played softball on a church league in Garner for over 20 years. I have been a volunteer on the Cerro Gordo County Conservation Board for over 20 years. I am active in our Church.
The past couple of years, Kathy talked me into going camping and trail riding. I still enjoy hunting.
I have not really kept in touch with classmates only, if I happen to be in Clear Lake or around and run into them. Like Charlie, Julie, Larry, Mavis, Chuck, Monica. We usually hear from Barb and Wayne and Howard at Christmas time.
