Your life since 1963:
Attended Newman HS for my Junior and Senior year of HS. Attended Loras College in Dubuque and graduated with a BS in Physics. Went to work as a civilian employee of the US Army, starting with a 6 month intern program at Rock Island Arsenal as Quality & Reliability Engineering training. Was then assigned to the US Army Communications and Electronics Command at Ft. Monmouth, NJ. I got married to Mason City woman and we had 2 sons. I got a MS in Management Science while working. I acted as my own contractor and built a house in Freehold, NJ. We moved back closer to "home" at the US Army Tank and Automotive Command in Detroit area. We got divorced and after a couple of years, I married a Detroit woman in picture above. She has 2 daughters. We have been happily married for just over 25 years now. Luckily for us, all 4 children now live along I-94 between Detroit and Minneapolis. All four complete college and went on for Master's degree, with one becoming a MD. We have 3 grandchildren to visit and spoil.
I worked my army career as an engineer working in the Product Assurance field, eventually becoming the Manager for Quality for Project Manager, Bradley Fighting Vehicles. Basically, I managed quality assurance for some of the Army's tracked fighting vehicles.
Your life now:
I retired from working for the Army in 2003 after 38 years. I went to work for Science Applications International Corp (SAIC) working on the Future Combat Systems, or the next generation of the Army equipment. I retired from SAIC in March 2006. So far, I have been enjoying retirement and keeping busy catching up on all the "put off" projects.
