Lynne and I share family and the outdoors when not doing business or remodeling our mostly older homes. Winter horseback rides when I sold feeder cattle in North Liberty, camping in Brazilian "matto", and with our children- spending Thanksgiving climbing in the Cascades, and Christmas sailing the waters of Puget Sound on "Wings of the Morning".
.
Daughter, Ali Hooper- lived next door with husband, Patrick (high school sweet heart, Annapolis grad and MBA) and granddaughters, Michaela 12,Hana 10, and Laine 6, but job as Vp-GM took family to Shanghai in 2006 so now we see them several weeks annually on U.S. visits and our trip to China. We celebrated her 1994 wedding with a route on Mt Baker.

Son, Dr Timothy Wilkins is a resident M.D. in Redding, CA.- Parent's day with Tim was climbing the third flatiron, and spring break was an ascent of Pingora in the Cirque of the Towers. We now climb and boat near Mt Shasta, Castle Crags, and Crater Lake on days he's not working. He and fiancée, Heather will marry in July after reuniting at ten-year high school reunion.

We enjoy sisters, Holly Stork (born in my sophomore year) locally and her husband, Dave and their 4 sons, and Linda (class of 1963) in Bend (2 daughters & 5 nieces and nephews), and Bill Jr. (class of 1959) in Spokane (daughter, son & niece). Lynne's mother, Lois and niece, Grace reside in St Petersburg.
.
We have visited Latin America, Europe and Asia on business and pleasure, and enjoyed the spectacular beauty of these United States. We appreciate early lithographs of the west by Carl Bodmer, George Caitlin, and A.F Tait, along with wood cuts of Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland and a Milford Zorne's watercolor. We're still hiking and canoeing in our 38-year-old Grumman despite Lynne's total knee replacement.
.
We attended the 15-year reunion. During 1990s visited Tom Clapsaddle, Peta (Baskett) Ressler, Nancy (Baum) Crosby in San Diego, and Joan (Brownstone) DiAntonio in St Louis, and a few others when I worked for Northwestern States Portland cement. We intended to make 45th, but Lynne had knee surgery in February so we opted for China in October to see daughter's family. Hope to make 50th.

If heading this way, let us know. Crater Lake is spectacular, and near-by Ashland has excellent Shakespeare Theater. View thousands of Tundra Swans, and waterfowl during migrations.
.
Lynne has been wife and true companion 41 years. My dad, Bill Wilkins Sr. said," are you crazy," when I asked her to marry me, and several years later said, ".she's one in a mill. no. she's one in a billion, son!" She might have left me in Paraiba do Sul, Brazil in 1968, but the bus only came every three days, so we made up and now it's 2008.

I've been thinking about CL memories section too... serious Ice hockey games at Clapsaddles, $4.50 dates ( 2 gallons gas, a movie and burgers), waiting in front of Corner Drug to get picked up to bale hay, Gus Brant giving me his shoes midgame when he saw my heal bleeding from wearing Bill's too small and broken down football shoes. He coached the night in stocking feet?
