Marital status-  married Harlan Snow, class of '60; 16 Oct 1965

Children-   Tonja, works at Opportunity Village; no children; Steven, married with 3 beautiful children and wonderful wife, works DOT; made his name and face in the paper and on TV when he and his road crew buddy found a car accident victim in  a culvert down by Sheffield, still alive after five days;  Jeanie, divorced with 2 wonderful boys; works at Mercy Medical Center in the GI Lab and Same Day Surgery

Career Notes-  went to Iowa Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, diploma program, graduated in 1965; received 19 credits for three years of school!; did take some classes at NIACC and have 6 credits to go for an AA; probably won't achieve that in this lifetime.   I retired the end of May due to budget cuts in my department.

Highlights of your life-  We have stayed married!  We raised our children in Harlan's childhood home and still have it though are ready to unload the big house and mowing, snow shoveling for something simple yet remain in Clear Lake, we'll see; career at Mercy for 30+ years working critical care, emergency room, then the Family Health Line (like an Ask-A-Nurse program) which I was asked to put together, managed it for five years then was staff nurse for the next 15 years after the consolidation of the two hospitals in Mason City that occurred in 1993

Memories from your school days- moved to Clear Lake High School district in March of 1960; in the old school one week then moved to the new building; raised south of Clear Lake and spent the other years of school at Ventura; that school didn't have Latin and I needed it for a nursing school entrance requirement so it was a good move for me; I knew from age 10 on that I wanted to be a nurse; missed basketball at Clear Lake, Ventura had it, Clear Lake didn't, yet; was in chorus but not a top notch singer though I did love to sing and do like music; can't sing worth a hoot anymore!

People I've Stayed In Touch With- mostly those wandering around town; hated it when they came in to the ER

Favorite song from 50s or 60s-  Christian; country western; Bill Gaither Trio,
'Because He Lives'.
