Marital
status: married
Children: 3 by first marriage, Michelle, Charlie, Matt, providing
me with 5 grandchildren; 2 step children Matt and Jessica, with one
grandchild.
Career
Notes: After high school joined
the Army, spent 28 months in Bangkok, Thailand. Returned home in June 1965. In
1967 I became a Transportation Engineer (truck driver) for 41 years. I retired
in 2008 and am driving as a part time occasional driver.
Highlights of your
life: The births of my three
children; marrying the love of my life, Robyn; buying a 1957 Cadillac;
meeting my teenage heartthrob, Brenda Lee; and moving to my wife's hometown,
Ripley, a small town in western New York State.
Highlights from your
school days: I always remember
the good old times we had at CLHS. The Lancer's Car Club and its members were a
definite highlight. My favorite memory is the night Mike Daly hung his ketchup
covered arm out the trunk of John Holt's car, the night he labeled me the
"gutless wonder" for not joining him in the trunk. I'll never forget the night
we drove by City Park with the lights out and Mike screamed out the window at an
old woman searching for night crawlers by flashlight. When he screamed her
flashlight and night crawlers went flying!
People I've Stayed
in Touch With: I lived next
door to Wade Baago for several years when I was married to my first wife. Saw
Tom Jackson many times at the Corner Drug Store. When I moved to St. Paul I lost
touch with most people.
