WHASSUP since 1960?: Was in the service for 4 years, married and moved to Nashville, had 2 girls, now 2 grandchilren, worked for K-Mart, now retired from there. Had my own flower and craft business.

Working part-time for Ross Dress for Less, go dancing, and do everything I can with my grandchildren. They both play ball. In my spare time I sew and make dance clothes.

Julie, Barb and the class of 1960,
I would like you all to know how great our class reunion really turned out!! I don't know if you noticed but Ruth (Dankbar) Colbert was chasing me around the week of the reunion. Well 9/11 turned out to be a big day, she caught me!! I ended up staying here with Ruth for 5 weeks, I am leaving tomorrow 9/27/06 but will be back here for Thanksgiving.
I am going to Canton Tx, Dallas Tx, and on to Savage Minn by the 7th of Oct- then back to Clear Lake for a couple of days. Home by the 20th of Oct. Ruth will be coming to the Valley in Jan-Feb. We will be going to Guadalhara,Mex for a short vacation.
April 1st I will come back to Tn with Ruth for part of the summer. Clear Lake for the 4th of July. I am sending a few pics to put on our web pages. Also a song I recorded here in Nashville. Hope you enjoy! BERT(Barney) and RUTH

Barney and me last November when we went to the Gospel Awards show at Opryland. It was in the Roy Acuff Theater. Before we went to the theater, we stopped at a restaurant to eat. Most of the square dancers from the club I belong to were there and we had a great time. In the background are some of the square dancers. A bus from Opryland came to the Senior Center here in town and picked us up. The pictures of us on the bus, Barney took just by holding the camera up in front of us. He takes a lot of pictures of us like that.

"This sign (below) is the one that the lady over the craft fair put up in remembrance of Barney. I put our picture on it so people would realize who he was. Anyone who went by could sign it. I put the flowers in front of the sign. At the end of the fair I was suppose to get the sign but it was gone. Think you can make out some of signatures. Ruth"
