HOW DID WE END UP IN CLIMAX?!! We have owned and sold 2 resorts since the early 1990's. We literally worked our buts off, but they have grown back now. We built a new home in Climax in 2001 and settled into a small town of 260. Bar/restaurant that serves senior meals, church, C-store with gas, bank, post office and golf course. What else could you ask for? We have a camper on Lake Kitchi, just each of Bemidji, MN where I spend most of the summer with my two cats and make conjugal visits back to Climax where I cook, clean and do laundry, then back to the lake. Dan manages to come up most weekends until harvest time.

Please tell us your favorite song- pet-hobby. We have two cats, Gabby and Gracie who are now our kids at home. I'm a crossworder, love Jeopardy and play Literati at Yahoo.com nearly every day. If you like Scrabble, you have to try it! Look for mamanature1@ yahoo.com if you make it to Literati. Last summer I read as many John Sandford books ( he's a MN author) as I could get my hands on, and love Grisham and Flynn as well, with Nora Roberts sprinkled in to break up the murder and mayhem. I garden and paint watercolors when I find the time!!
Marital status- Happily married the second time for 26 years!!
Family- My daughter, Julie, turns 40 (egads) this year and she and her hubby live in southern Indiana. Julie handles barge and rail logistics for Cons. Grain and Barge on the Ohio River and Jay is an operator for Duke Energy, which lights up Ill., IN and Ohio. Grandson Kyle is currently on the USS Kearsarge in the Mediterranean Sea and is certainly getting a profound lesson in third world countries on his tour of duty. Granddaughter Bryn is a happy 6th grader with perfect attendance and straight A's.
Tony, 32, owns his own home here in Climax; drives semi to and from the sugar beet processing plant; works for a farmer and repairs about any kind of equipment that he can wheel and deal on E-bay. He and girlfriend, Heather, have dated for four years, no license or grandchildren yet.
And last but not least... What was your favorite song from the 50s? Beach Boys, Elvis, Johnny Mathis. I like them all. Still love to dance. That's why I take Aleve!!!

WHASSUP now?
I officially went on Medicare in March and my husband and sneaky girlfriends threw me a SURPRISE birthday party. I was truly surprised as three of them came from out of town just for the party. Dan is still farming in the Red River Valley of the north, where American Crystal Sugar is king. He has the best of both worlds, he's a salaried farm worker with no overhead during the spring, summer and fall and then he climbs in a semi to deliver sugar beets to the processing plants in the valley.
