James H. Slocum, 61 of Irving, Texas passed away January 7, 2003 in Dallas, Texas. James was born October 2, 1941 in Mason City, Iowa to Bud and Nina (Hinman) Slocum.
He attended schools in Clear Lake, Iowa and was married to Shirley Schumacher in April of 1960 in Osage, Iowa. James worked at the SEABEE Corporation as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
James is survived by a son, James and wife Missy Slocum of Hampton, daughter Jodi and husband Lynn Cooke of HOlt, Missouri. daughter Gina and husband Tom Bochmer of Mason City, son Roy Slocum of Sheffield, sister Sue and husband Gene Wald of Baldwin, Wisconsin, sister Sherrie and husband Jim Prince of Irving, Texas, sister Terrie Wolfe of Irving, Texas, sister Mariann Slocum of Grand Praire, Texas, five Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife. Arrangements by Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home.
