According to Chuck Clappsaddle, there was a meeting in June (2009)
to talk about plans for our 50th reunion next summer.
Those attending the meeting were

Chuck Clapsaddle
(Barb Potts Matson was voted to be the chair person although she was not present).
They talked about places to hold the Reunion.
Mentioned were
The Surf Lounge
The Half Moon
and
PM Park, which if available, will probably be the place of choice.
Tentative plans for a date were discussed,
The weekend before the 4th of July
(26th and 27th June)
or
(3rd and 4th July).
Nothing definite was decided at the time.

"Yes, we are planning to attend the 50th class reunion next year. In the past I think we have had a good turn out when it is not on a holiday. Since most of our parents are gone we have family activities with our immediate families on the 4th of July. I think that the end of July is a good time for a reunion.
As for a place, there is also a nice place in Ventura that is run by the same people that run PM park. Since our class was small, they might be able to facilitate our class size. A few of us went there for dinner after attending the 45th reunion which was held at some bar on south shore. This is just a thought, but you might like to check it out since the all class reunion will be in Ventura.

Hi gang - we need to lock in a date for the 50th reunion (2010) WOW - can you believe we are this "mature"???? :-)
The committee has said that June 26th and 27th would be open and not quite so crowded as the 4th of July. What I need is your thought. Does that date sound good?
PLEASE get back to me and let me know. The committee said that we could have PM Park cater the food (at their location) and after the meal and SHORT program, we could then arrange the tables for a dance (if anyone wants that) :-) The total cost for that would be $15 (food, tip, dance etc --- cash bar however). Also on Saturday we would have a picnic at a park, probably the one we were at for the 45th.
I do feel we need to start a "slush" fund for our class. If you can send something to Chuck Clapsaddle, he will open a checking account for the Class of 1960. Just make the check out to Chuck and send it to 1408 South Shore Drive Clear Lake 50428

Hi - Chuck has PM Park set for June 25th, 2010 for our 50th reunion!!! We get the place from 2 PM till close. We will have a Hot Sandwich buffet with salad bar for $15.00 per person. They will also have a cash bar. Please send a check to Chuck at 1408 South Shore Drive, Clear Lake, NE 50428. He is setting up a checking account and we will need to put a check down to hold the Park.
The 26th will be a picnic at one of the parks where we will bring our own meals and drinks (like from the Barrel or some other place). That will be decided after January 2nd. Parks and Rec can't reserve them till after that date.
We will keep you posted on this throughout the year.

I spoke with Chuck Clapsaddle today and he asked if I would pass along some information about our 50th Reunion that is coming up this next summer.
It will be held the 25th of June which is a Friday from 2pm to 'whenever' at PM Park. There will be a hot sandwich buffet w/salad bar for $15 per person.
On the 26th (Saturday) there will be a picnic at PM Park (on South Shore Drive). It will be a 'bring your own food and drinks'.
If I misquoted him on anything, I'll be sure to make a correction but I'm pretty sure this is what he said has been planned so far.
It's never too early to start making arrangements so we wanted to be sure you all knew what the plans are as of now.
