What's happened since 1959?* I enlisted in the Coast Guard on 1 June 1959 right after graduation. After 20 years I retired and went to work for the State of Alaska as terminal agent for the Alaska Marine Highway in Sitka, Alaska. I retired in 1988 from that job after having a major heart attack and moved here to Missouri. We drove back and forth to Sitka until 1995. Dee managed a souvenir shop during the summer months. In 1996 I had a quadruple by-pass.

Dee & I have 2 children, 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and a great grandson.

I met my wife, Dee, at the Surf when I was on leave in 1961. She worked with Nancy Klatt in Des Moines. We were married in 1962.

What's happening now?* We are enjoying our retired life. Most of the time you'll find us out on the golf course or on the dance floor squaredancing. We are spending the winter months in Mission, Texas. The valley is known as the Squaredance Capital of the World!!!

Who have you kept in touch with?* Gary & Mary Edwards. I have ran into Ray Coyier and a few others during my visits back to Clear Lake.
