Norma Jean Benner, 68, of Windmill Manor in Coralville, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at her residence due to an extended illness. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, 11495 265th St., Mason City, Iowa 50401.

Norma Jean was born Sept. 29, 1940, in Clear Lake, Iowa, to Rodney and Marge (Preston) Benner. She graduated from high school in Clear Lake and was later married to Wendell Hahn. In the early 1960s, Norma moved to Iowa City, where she was a homemaker.

Norma's family includes her father, Rodney Benner of Clear Lake; sisters, Nancy Hicks and Carol Hayes of Florida; aunt, Virginia Hargarten of Florida; five cousins; son, Jeff (Deb) Bennerhahn of Iowa City; daughter, Lisa Hahn of Tipton; grandchildren, Ellen and Owen Bennerhahn, Sonnie Lewis and Rainie Hahn.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marge; brother, Jimmie; son, Eddie Hahn; and son-in-law, Kenny Lewis.

Memorials may be made in Norma Jean's name to Iowa City Hospice.
