What's happened since 1959?* Lots of living! Went to three different colleges in three years...go figure...never finished...moved to Washington, D.C. area in 1962...found a good job at Univ. of MD in the psychology dept. and then a terrific job at the National Geographic Society...what a blessing that was! Moved back to IA in '71...found a good job at McGladrey Pullen CPA Firm...met my husband there...was married in '74...we had two fine sons. Brian in '74 and Matt '77...we moved to Burnsville, MN in '89 for Bob's job... back to IA in '97 and here we are. During all that time, I had 10 surgeries (I sound like an "old person" talking about my surgery!), but I survived them all, thank the Lord!

What's happening now?* Bob and I are both retired...love it...After several good years on his own, Brian returned to live with us as he suffers from bipolar disorder and is on disability...he grew into an outstanding student in school...received the National Merit Scholarship...went to Carleton College and at 21 became bipolar...heartbreaking for all of us...he's trying to find a place for himself as we speak...Matt has his own apt. and he has a black belt in Kung Fu and teaches with his instructor at the Mason City Wellness Center...he also works at Target. No grandchildren at this point.

What are your hobbies? Gardening...both flowers and veggies...taking tai chi classes...singing in church choir and playing in the handbell choir at church...love them both!

Are you planning on attending the 50th reunion?* Yes.

Who have you kept in touch with?* Sadly, no one...my bad!
