JAMES BROWN of Westland, Mich., died Sept. 7, 1996, at age 55. Brown served in the U.S. Army after graduation and was a first lieutenant in the Vietnam War, for which he earned numerous medals and commendations, including the Purple Heart. Brown worked in law enforcement and insurance investigation for several years and was director of security for William Davis & Associates in Westland. He is survived by his wife, CAROLYN (EL1AS) BROWN and two daughters.
