MASON CITY - Harlan Dean Trappe, 63, of 2336 22nd St SW, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2003, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St NE, Mason City, with Pastor Paul C. Nelson, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery, Mason City.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be given to the Harlan Dean Trappe Memorial Fund.

Harlan Dean Trappe was born October 17, 1940 near Rossville, a son of Willard and Eva (Sawvell) Trappe.
Dean attended Clear Lake High School. He drove truck for many years with Central States Steel, and the U.S. Postal service. He also drove armored truck for Wells Fargo and later, Lewis Security Systems.
He enjoyed shopping, woodworking, going to casinos, and especially visiting with his family and friends.

Dean is survived by his father Willard Trappe and his wife Lucille, Charles City; two sons, Steve Trappe and his wife Jennifer, Mason City; Jim Trappe, Mason City; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Cheryl Renel, Bonduel, Wis.; Shirley Peterson, Shawano, Wis.; two brothers, Richard Trappe and his wife Carolyn, Mason City; William Trappe and his wife Linda, Bonduel, Wis.; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Dolly Theilen, Mason City.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva and a son, Stacy.
