What's happened since 1959:

After graduating, I joined the U.S. Army Military Police Corps and served at Fort Monroe, VA and Heidelberg, Germany.  Got out in 1962, returned to Clear Lake and started at Mason City Junior College.  Met my oldest children's mother Joanne Gilbert, a nurse at Mercy Hospital in Mason City and was married in 1963.  Had two children, Deborah now living in Orlando and teaching at the University of Central Florida, FL and Todd now living in Toledo and selling for a high-end furniture company. Divorced in 1979.  Remarried in 1981 to Susan Amell of Orlando and had one son, Matthew, who is a Firefighter in the Orlando area.
Divorced in 1986.  Remarried to Karen Hinton Oren, Highpoint, NC. No children.
Karen was a flight attendant with Braniff, Piedmont, and U.S. Air for 37 years before retiring in 2004.

After a year at MCJC, I took a year off and then got an Associate from Austin, MN JC.  Then off to Michigan State from 65-68.  Worked as a police officer while going to MSU and then joined the U.S. Secret Service in 1969.  I was assigned to Detroit, Washington, DC, Orlando and Miami retiring in 1989 after much travel and many adventures.

Worked in private industry specializing in investigations, security planning and training before opening my own security consulting and investigations company in 1992 in Leesburg, VA.

What's happening now:  Semi-retired in 2004 and now conduct fraud investigations for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and consult to a few specialized clients. We now live on the beautiful Middle Peninsula of Virginia, not far from Nick and Louise (Wyrum) Magnani.

Memories from School Days:  Adolescence is tough and is best left to when you're an adult.   Lot of great memories of school days.  But better memories of the times that school prepared me for.  Hats off to some great teachers and great friends.
