What's happened since 1959? (thumbnail sketch) Graduated from the U of I August 1964, started teaching in Cedar Rapids August 1964, got married March 1968, became a mother of twins March 1970, received my MA December 1984, retired from teaching June 2002, became a grandma October 2005.
What's happening now? I belong to a couple of reading groups, play bridge in 3 different clubs, go to a stitch in once a week, travel with my husband as often as we can, go to the fitness center at least 4 times a week, and work as Advanced Placement coordinator for Washington High School.
What are your hobbies? Reading, cross stitching, traveling, playing bridge, baby sitting for our grand daughter.

Memories from school days All State at KRNT Theater in Des Moines, riding to school in my brother's red truck, walking into the Corner Drug on the one snow day we had, our gray choir jackets, music in general, athletic events at home and away, Hi Tri events, never being able to open my locker, senior research paper for Miss Sponheim, working on the school newspaper with Mr. Gillespie, French fries for lunch at Dana's house, and trying to teach Jan how to drive.
