Since 1958
The summer after graduation I life guarded at Methodist Camp in Clear Lake. At the end of the Summer I began my two year active duty in the U. S. NAVY ( I had joined the Naval Reserve Unit in Mason City my sophomore year in high school.).
I returned to Clear Lake and entered Mason City Junior College for two years. All my credits transferred to the UNIVERSITY of IOWA, which I attended for the next two years. I roomed with Tom Petersen, also class of 1958.
While at IOWA I dated and eventually married a gal that my cousin Roger Jacobson CL class of 1959 introduced me to via his then girl friend Patsy Zinn also of Clear Lake. We were divorced in 1980. I have been enjoying single life ever since. There are two children - Jon & Tammi and four grandchildren Hannah, Leah, Paul, & Rachel which are the top six of my many blessings.
Now
All that is left of the Graduation Robe business is some Conformation Robe rentals. I also started a Photography Studio and between the two it keeps me busy enough to stay out of most trouble. (see hobbies below)
Hobbies
I have held season tickets to both IOWA HAWKEYE football and basketball. I have become an avid outdoorsman: camping, backpacking, canoeing, bicycling, & etc. Besides being in the photography business, I enjoy many non revenue types of photography. Recently acquired hobbies include geocaching & operating newly purchased Lionel O-Gauge toy electric trains. My operating skills have improved greatly since my first train at Christmas 2007
I keep in touch with: Tom Petersen., my sister Janet Bremseth and her husband Gary Lowman.
My favorite song from the 50s
The Long Hot Summer
