Even though I went to school with the Clear Lake class of l958 from 1st (grade) to the middle of my sophomore year, I did not graduate there.
I transferred to Clinton, Iowa for the 2nd semester of my sophomore year.  My graduating class at Clinton High School has a web site and I have a page on that web site.  It is under updated (on the left) - you click on Candace Utroska and you can see my page.  Please feel free to use that link on my CLHS Class of 1958 web page.

A thumbnail sketch of the life of Candy Kabrick Utroska after graduating from
Clinton High School in l958:

l958-62    was graduated from Northwestern University with degree in communicative disorders
l962         married Clintonian Don Utroska ' 56
1962-63   speech therapist for Cedar Rapids Schools
1963-65   served in Peace Corps in Nigeria, West Africa
1966        daughter, Julie born in Philadelphia
1968        moved to New Milford, Connecticut
1969        moved to Geneva, Switzerland and son, Donald,jr. was born there
1972        lived in Eschborn, Germany 3 years
1972-85  returned to Geneva, Switzerland, worked in International Schools as speech therapist
l985        moved to Lake Forest, Illinois, while continuing to spend part time in Geneva

I feel blessed to have led such an adventurous life.  Our Peace Corps experience was pivotal.  While living in Europe for sixteen years our family enjoyed the benefits of the continent while particularly enjoying the scenery and skiing in Switzerland.  Our grandchildren, Alex 10 and Allison 6, live in Southlake, Texas with our daughter Julie and her husband, Mike Medulan. Grandchildren are the dessert of life. Our son works in Chicago and has a wonderful girlfriend, Ally.  We all enjoyed a Swiss ski vacation in March, and a holiday in Yellowstone this August. I am so looking forward to hearing from former classmates.
