I am writing now because I just got off the phone with Bob Burns's son Todd who lives in Kensett. I googled and found the obit and called his son Todd. Strangely I have played bridge with Todd's aunt who lives in Mason City. She is a lovely lady and I ran into her over the Labor Day weekend. She was married to Joanne Fritz's brother. Joanne was Bob's first wife. I am getting some things about Bob emailed to me, pictures and whatever and will submit them ASAP. Strangely enough Bob's son is supposed to be right here in Iowa City but I could not find him in the phone book. Todd is going to give him a heads up.
Bob was in Boy Scouts Troop 17 with me and Jack Stunkard, Keith Lamping, Joe Roseland, Jim Furleigh and I can't remember who else.
Bob was preceded in death by Dee Burns Huntley and her husband Keith passed away this last year or so. Dee Dee was an awesomely beautiful gal. A few years ahead of us in CLHS.

Robert M. Burns, 67, of North Las Vegas, died April 22, 2008. He was a mental health care counselor. He is survived by his wife, Edith; daughter, Monabel Sarmiento of Las Vegas; and sons, Rob of Iowa City, Iowa, and Todd of Kensett, Iowa. Visitation will be 4-7:30 p.m. Friday, April 25. Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 26, both at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
