Since 1958-

I met the love of my life at Luther College, so graduated in 3 years so I could get married. I then started my teaching career, which spanned 35 years in the elementary classroom. I retired from Urbandale in 1998, but also taught in Des Moines and Cedar Falls. We were blessed with two daughters, so got to watch them grow up and participate in all kinds of great experiences. There are now 5 grandchildren to love and watch grow up. I sang in church choir forever and served on many committees there.

Now-

When I am not working part time at a specialty store, I'm taking care of my husband and home and acre of land, helping at church, talking to my family and friends, traveling and trying to spend time smelling the roses. Retirement is great-and busy!

Hobbies-

Cooking, gardening (flowers and vegetables), traveling, reading
