Family and Friends Remembrance
(Written by Sue Dickerson)

I wish there were e-mail in heaven.
So I could write you there,
and tell you what's been happening.
Now you're no longer here.
I miss you every day.
Your walk, your talk, your smile.
I remember when you went away.
You said for just a little while.
Well, may be it hasn't been very long.
It just seems like forever.
Remembering the places
that we used to go.
The family stories
you thought we should know.
The many things you taught us.
Will be with us forever.
When will the loneliness for you ease?
The answer is plain,  Never.
"Laughlin Rumble 2009"
by Sue Dickerson
CLHS 1956

They gathered in Laughlin.
Wearing their red bandanas.
The populace were unaware of peril they were in.
Oh, those 56'rs and their shenanigans.
They dined long and well.
The drinks were tall and cool.
Then things sort of went to...well
The tall tales began, but nothing cruel.
The laughter shook the rafters.
More memories were made.
Nothing like a group of friends.
Who remember everything.
We know not when we'll meet again..
Nor who will no longer be here.
Do eat,drink and converse.
Enjoy it to the max.
See some shows,and gamble too.
And who will be the 2009 Bingo champ?
There may be other groups who gather.
But none quite like the 56'rs.
Rumble  on.
