(A note from Norm)
I started my schooling in Clear Lake by attending Kindergarten through 4th grade at Lincoln Elementary School, then 5th through 8th at Central School, then 9th at the High School. My family then moved to Los Angeles where I attended Dorsey High School & graduated from there in 1956. So of the 13 years of formal schooling I was in Clear Lake for 10 & last 3 in Los Angeles.

Music is 'Rock Around The Clock'
In the early sixties most of us were married and had started our families.  Well, George Orwell had an idea for the city of El Segundo's centennial so he created the young father with his beard and his mode of transportation for his time.  Everything went well until the young father had to leap off of the roaring machine and push is up a slight hill.  A Harley it was not.
