HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR LIFE:  Getting my AA Degree in Elementary Education from Mason City Junior College and teaching elementary school in two small Iowa schools until I had my own pupils, (sons) in the 60's. Lance lives and works in St Louis, MO. Todd, wife Deb and three sons live and work in Simi Valley, CA.  My youngest son Troy lives in Rockdale, Texas and is currently in school to become a Nurse. In 1998 I married fellow classmate Norm Hansen and gained 2 more grown sons and their wives and 7 more grandchildren. We have much to do with these ten wonderful children and as we travel and visit with our friends and classmates across the country I love to hear all the stories about them and how they are involved with their grandkids as well.

RETIREMENT FUN: Several summers ago we were in AZ visiting and working on the Ben Avery Shooting Range with my sister and husband Diane and Lloyd Ashland and she was making quilted jackets and taught me how to quilt. My goal is to make each of my grandkids a quilt. So far I have finished one for my 2 year old grandson Logan. While we were at the range I also learned to shot a 22 semi automatic pistol and you never know when that might come in handy. Norm has just finished making a traditional long bow so being senior citizens hasn't slowed us up tooo much. Traveling and visiting family and friends is just the best. Watch out now we could be headed your way.

MEMORIES FROM YOUR SCHOOL DAYS: I joined our classmates in 1947 from Glendale, Ca. Miss Dorr was less than happy when she had to add another student to an already 30 pupil classroom. In 5th grade the Lincoln School bunch joined us and we really filled up Central. I got the measles just before school was out in 8th grade and missed all the last minute tests, major highlight. I have enjoyed knowing all of you who have come to our Rumbles and getting to know you as adults. I feel we had an excellent upbringing and learned what is really important. The Golden Rule, love of country, a trust in God and the value of friendship. I would love to hear from anyone from any class.

TYPE OF MUSIC AND ACTIVITIES YOU NOW ENJOY: I have always loved a wide range of music. My parents danced to the wonderful 40's bands and my Aunt taught me all about Jazz. Classical, Country, Rock and ballads I can still sing are favorites too but only in my shower. I love to quilt, am a Red Hatter, read for info and fun and run yes, run after 10 grandkids and am out of breathe most of the time.

Favorite song from the 50s ( For background music for your page).
