More Shared Memories
"Ode to The Greatest"
Written by Diane

We can shed tears that he is gone,
or we can smile because he lived.
We can close our eyes and pray he will come back, or we can open our eyes and see all that he left behind.
Our hearts will be empty because we can't see him again,
or we can be full of the love that we shared his life.
We can turn our back on tomorrow and love yesterday, or we can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
We can remember him and only that he is gone,
or we can cherish his memory and let it live on.
We can cry and close our minds, be empty and turn back,
or we can do what he would want:
Smile, open our eyes, love and go on.
Love,   Diane and Tom
Pat, dear girl, you are in our thoughts and prayers.  You were such a good wife.  He was very lucky to have found you and no one would have taken better care of him than you.
We know you both struggled the last few years....he put up a great fight.  Tom and I truly enjoyed his company, his upbeat enthusiasm for our class and genuine love for everyone.
We regret we cannot attend the service on Monday....we are still in the throws of business, but our hearts will be with you and your family.  Diane Hintzman Guinn CLHS 1956
