"Memorial" by Jerry Millard
Over the past ten years I have watched
three of our classmates who have earned
high respect from my point of view.
Dennis Mosher, Gary Leach and Harvey
Myers all lived for many years with severe
health problems but unless you asked them
about it it was hard to detect how they
remained so strong. I think alot of it was
their faith and also their partners in life
who really are saints for the courage they
showed along with the classmates.
All six of them are my heroes and will always be an inspiration to Pat and I.
It is hard to believe in a small class like ours that we could go through years of school and not really know most of our classmates. I now think it is sad that for some of us it has taken 50 years to realize how precious our classmates really are. The three I mentioned earlier will always have a spot in my heart for the lessons they have taught me.
Mo and I knew each other for about 45 years and then during the last five years we became quite close thanks to the rumbles. I don't think there was ever a rumble in Clear Lake that Dennis did not attend regardless if he felt good or not. We always commented about how the rumbles were better than the dope the Drs. were giving to us as we always went on a high looking forward to the rumbles and then it took so long to come down off of the highs after the rumbles. If I had to pick a very special moment of all the rumbles Pat and I were able to attend would be the day we took a picture of Mo and Dee in front of the black and gold sign stretched out between poles in the yard. Lo and behold Mo and Dee must have known the sign was going to be up cuz they both showed up in their right yellow C.L. Lions tee shirts and posed in front of the sign. That picture is on one of the rumble sites and will always remain one of my favorites as it will always remind me of what Dennis and Dee really brought to our class. Thanks Mo. You were a class act and we all love you.
If you would like to share a memory of Dennis with us all,
This page is only in it's beginning stages,
please check back often and remember to refresh to see the additions.
