We ate at 6 PM, but stayed as long as we wanted after
the dinner since we had the hall ALL DAY!!!!!!!!

Hi folks,
More updates on the all web site reunion on July 25, 2009. 
I have heard from several and think we are ready to put more finishing touches on the reunion this summer.
I visited with Elsa from the City of Ventura yesterday and the community center will be ours for the whole day of July 25Th.
We can decorate or whatever we want for the day.  We may want to do some decorating or whatever the group of us want to do to make the day a BIG SUCCESS.
I guess my thoughts are to start the actual event about 4 pm.  Have our meal at 6 pm and end the event when ever all persons attending want to end the event.  There is no particular time that we have to be out of the building.
I have heard from several people about the meal and all that I heard from thought the idea of a 3 meat, 2 veggie (cheesey hash browns), salad, rolls, ice tea and coffee for $17.50/person would be just fine with them.  That being the case I think we will go with that program.  We have several catering people that will do it for that price, so we can pick from a list, but that doesn't have to be determined at this time.
I would prefer that every class collect for the their class and then forward all the names from their class that will be attending and the money by July 15, 2009.  You can have them send me the money if you want, but I would prefer not to have the task of keeping track of 12 classes.
If you do have them send the money to me, don't send it until after May 1 as it will be forwarded to me in Florida and it might get lost in the mail.

Fellow class mates,
A caterer has been chosen for the reunion.  We will be using a class mate that is in the catering business.  He comes highly recommended from several people.  His name is Gene Simon and has been in the catering business for 9 years.  The menu will be a 3 meat buffet with cheesy hash browns,  lettuce salad with dressings on the side, a vegetable, rolls with butter, ice tea, coffee and or milk and probably a desert of some kind.  The cost of this will be the $17.50/person that I told you it would be earlier this year.  I would prefer that each class have a person to collect the money and then forward it to me with the money and names by July 15Th.  If you do not have a head of class to do this then you can send me the money.

We will also have a "mixer" at PM park on South Shore Drive beginning at 5:00 PM, FRIDAY JULY 24TH  for any one that is interested.  PM Park is about a mile up the road from State Park for those of you that might have forgotten where it is located.  It is right on the water and they now have a Tiki bar right on the lake, so it is nice place for a gathering.  We had our "mixer" there last year and a good time was had by all.  There is no set agenda, so everyone will be on their own IF you decide to attend.  You don't have to sign up or send any money as each person will be on their own for drinks and or food.
